The ABBA Megarate 2017

Whoa there friend, you might need to slow down!  Don't expect that everybody should do it because it took me 7 hours (no hyperbole) to do that, and presumably, some just don't have a spare time to do it. Putting on a short deadline seems a lot draconian, in my opinion, and you would need to consider the patience that some people have. This site is very slow paced in terms of traffic and is somewhat obsolete (judging by the medium of the site, not the content of the site), in favor of social media, it would be disappointing for others to give a deadline. Sure if you are in a site (Facebook groups or Facebook pages!) where there's a fast pced traffic, you can set a deadline. If you still want a deadline, in my opinion I would want it to be 6 months.

Bawling throughout the ABBA mega rate. The later period is so scary, now I know why Agnetha and Frida both felt hurt by the collapse of the music career of ABBA through many conflicts. I'd rather choose to listen to A&A's post-ABBA solo career over The Visitors because it's fun to hear their rockish production and intense vocal styling that Benny and Björn would themselves not approve - plus it isn't boring and traumatizing like their album, The Visitors or the single 'The Day Before You Came'

Er, I do too. In fact, I like any version of Summer Night City better than any version of The Day Before You Came! Which is not to say I don't like The Day Before You Came...

Like wombat, I've just rated the officially released stuff in English. I don't consider She's My Kind Of Girl, Santa Rosa etc to be 'proper' ABBA songs. I like a few other artists as much as, if not more than, ABBA, but no-one else would score such a high average.

I probably took a bit longer than 15 minutes but certainly nothing like seven hours! (Mind you, I can think of worse ways of spending seven hours if those seven hours involved listening to ABBA!)

Yes, it's fun seeing other people's rankings, particularly if they give a song 10 and I give it one (Two For The Price Of One, anyone?).

Dont think about it all that much. If it wasnt one I didnt really like or didnt really dislike, then it got a 5 or a 6.

I think I spent 5 minutes. I know which ones I really like and which ones I dont.

LOL!  The way they bring up how many minutes and/or hours they took, after I brought up the fact that ABBA's omnibus, released or unreleased took me 7 hours, makes me laugh. Try 10 hours (Not in full sitting, but I had to take a reasonable amount of breaks like stringing up my guitars); that's what I did in the Agnetha mega-rate if you want to go far with that 

I'm possibly a forgetful person in this thread (I switch in between ABBA a lot of other artists when listening most of the time) since I had to compensate my memory for ABBA's songs for a better description of how I would put it and I struggle to pay attention to some hidden sounds inside a song...

Well, not exactly 10 for me, but I must say I don't understand why so many people here dislike TFTPOO so much. Yes, it seems it doesn't fit in The Visitors album much but for me it is a lighter touch in otherwise very dark record.

Maybe 'hate' is a too strong word - but some songs certainly annoy me (mostly stuff from the first 3 albums).
