Tonight, I had the great privilege to see Grace Jones live in concert. An utterly incredible show. The setlist, end-to-end, was flawless and her energy seemingly endless. The stage show was elegantly designed and its simplicity really triumphed. I can't remember the last time I was left borderline speechless after a show.
When I grow up, I want to be Grace Jones.

Always been a fan. She's an original and doesn't get the credit she deserves but then again I think it's clear how influential she is.
Love to have seen her. I hope the show is released on dvd. Maybe there'll be YouTube uploads.

The show was filmed as part of a biography/documentary being made. The production company is Irish, hence the Dublin show. It's not part of a tour, as far as I can see, and there was only one show intended. But demand let to a second sell-out date. I very much doubt that there'll be YouTube uploads as the venue were very careful to stop even photos being taken. The audience were incredibly respectful of Grace's request that there be no photography or filming. It was the most amazing show and her energy was incredible. It helps. of course, that her back catalogue is so brilliant and the material seems not to have aged a day. I can't wait for the film now.

Oh, that's what I was hoping for- more info. Excellent.
I wish I could have been in my home town for this but never mind.
