Hello there,
I'm always on the hunt for upgraded quality versions of my ABBA vinyl collection. If anyone is considering selling any items from their collection, I'd definitely be interested so please message me if so inclined.
Of this moment, I'm searching for Mint copies of the following:
Voulez-Vous/Does Your Mother Know Vogue 12" (any of the coloured vinyl editions - red, blue, green) The Winner Takes It All 12" gatefold edition The Visitors LP - original red vinyl release from 1981 Japanese pressings of all albums and singles Amiga label releases Any picture discs pre-dating the year 2000 (LP / 12" / 7")
As much as I would like the vinyl to be pristine, the record sleeves are of utmost importance to me, particularly anything from the Vogue series as these tend to most often be worn/damaged.
Anyway, I'd love to hear from anyone who is thinking of selling any of the above items and more.
Regards, Phil

Thanks Phil.
Sorry, I am not quite sure what you mean by 'The Visitors LP - original red vinyl release from 1981'. There was never a red vinyl pressing that I know of, only standard black vinyl. Or have I completely misunderstood?
My local charity music shop often has some quite good copies of ABBA albums so I will happily keep a look out for you.

gazman, I think he’s referring to an El Salvador pressing on RCA (which has the two Spanish versions). It’s on Discogs. evilincarnate, feel free to correct me if it wasn’t that one you were referring to!

Thanks Alan and Gazman, much obliged. The El Salvador RCA pressing is indeed the version of 'The Visitors' I'm interested in. It's extremely rare and I'm unlikely to locate it, but definitely is front and centre on my wish list. I also, rather embarrassingly, have a penchant for tacky 1970's unofficial 'best of' compilations, usually because they include groovy (most likely not endorsed) artwork - for example, the Amiga pressings that seem to feature stills from tv performances. Kinda tacky but irresistible just the same. I certainly understand people wanting to hold onto their collections (I still have my swap cards, t-shirts and pillow cases from childhood) but in case anyone is looking to shift the odd item, I would definitely be interested. Best regards, Phil

Ah, thanks Alan and Phil - I had never heard of this release until now!
It is so tricky to find original vinyl these days without worn sleeves...even if the actual disc is unplayed. Good luck though.
