We would all agree that Agnetha's and Frida's voices sound very special together. As if the singers were always meant to meet each other. Can you think of any other singers (male or female) that sound especially good together? I think Barbara Dickson and Elaine Page in I Know Him So Well are very good. Helen Sjöholm and Åsa Bergh in Ett Herrans Underverk too. But what actually made me start this thread is this duet, probably completely unknown to the members of this forum, as it is a Czech song, sung by two singers, who were very talented and I would say, made for each other too. Unfortunately, their collaboration lasted just a couple of years, as Marta Kubisova (the brunette) was banned by the communist regime since 1969 and she was not allowed to perform for 20 years, which of course completely ruined her promising career:

OK, it seems I will be talking to myself here But I can't help but mention at least one more duet, that gives me goosebumps every time I hear it and which wasn't a duet at all originally. Elton John gets usually scorned here but you can't deny he's written loads of beautiful music. This particular song was great even in its original version sung by himself, however, George Michael took it to another level at the Live Aid. And when the two joined forces later, when Elton performed with George Michael as a guest at his concert, they delivered what seems to me the ultimate version of the song.

Although I lean heavily toward musicians soloing these days or a standalone singer by themselves, you can't go wrong with Fitz and Satchmo. Just heard this on my local jazz radio recently. There is this loose and relaxing environment they might have been in. It brings a smile to my face.
