Just discovered this on YouTube and I love it! And it has given me the idea for this thread.
First, I was attracted to the novelty (for me) of someone singing to her own accompaniment of a plucked cello, played like fingerstyle guitar, with a bossa nova rhythm. Then it was her voice; and the song's melody and it's touching lyrics:
And this one from the same young artist:
Have you come across any singers or instrumentalists on YouTube, unknown to you before, who appeal to you? Any style/genre.

Max Fleischer Cartoons (with their excellent restoration of a bargain DVD staple, Somewhere in Dreamland that aired on MeTV in December 2021) and Tommy Jose Stathes' Cartoons On Film (who was featured in Century 21 Films' Cartoon Carnivals, if you saw it on Sky Arts on December or TCM on October) are doing restorations on cartoons made by Fleischer Studios. I discovered them on YouTube some time ago. Furthering my love for film preservation as I watch these; Kevin Brownlow said it best and I'll paraphrase it roughly - we have a duty to preserve it or the newer generation will spite us.:
Excuse the shameless advertisement; film appreciation is another hobby for me! (blush emoji)
